Donate Items

As you can imagine, we go through a lot of the typical items needed to care for pets. Your gently used and new in-kind contributions help make things better for the animals in our care as well as community pets. There are donation collection bins outside of the main entrance of the center that can be used at any time to drop off items in person. However, if you'd like a donation receipt, you'll need to come by during business hours. You are also welcome to have purchased goods delivered directly to us.

There are some things that we need on an ongoing basis:

Cat Items

  • Royal Canin Mother and Baby wet food
  • Royal Canin Mother and Baby kibble
  • Iams wet kitten food
  • Breeders Edge milk replacement
  • Miracle Nipples
  • Churu lickable treats
  • Litter boxes and clay and clumping litter
  • DaBird Feather toy refills
  • Mylar ball toys
  • Food scales (for weighing kittens)
  • Open-top, medium size carriers
  • Havahart traps
  • Feral cat dens
  • Scratching posts

Dog Items

  • Milk-Bone treats (mini and small sizes)
  • BilJac soft training treats
  • Greenies Pill Pockets
  • Lick mats
  • Nylabone chew toys
  • Benebone chew toys
  • Good Dog collars (all sizes)
  • 1" x 6" clip leashes

Miscellaneous

  • Liquid laundry soap
  • Blankets, sheets, towels, and washcloths (not electric blankets that do not work)
  • Pet beds (not feather)
  • Food and water bowls
  • Grooming items
  • Bird seed for feeders (sunflower or mix)
  • Dust-free, paper bedding for small pets (not newspaper)

We will gladly accept pet food, treats and medications even if they have been opened and partially used as long as they have not expired and are still in the original packaging. Any items that do not meet this criteria are thrown away immediately. Food and treat donations may be used to support our "Paw Pantry" pet food giveaway program that helps our neighbors who need help feeding their furry family members.

Our online wish lists are regularly updated so that our most urgent, current needs are at the top of the list.

Though we always appreciate the sentiment, we cannot use the items on the list below. Please check with another organization.

  • Broken or damaged items
  • Small animal cages and accessories
  • Gates, ramps and stairs
  • Any items that have potential choking hazards such as beads and tassels
  • Any items that have been stained with paint, oil or other substances that may be harmful to the animals
  • Kids toys and stuffed animals - many are made with pieces not safe for animals
  • Mattresses
  • Bed pillows, cushions, mattress covers, toppers, foam padding
  • Carpet squares and area rugs larger than a bathmat
  • Old t-shirts and fabric scraps
  • Newspapers, magazines, etc.
  • Fresh grown catnip - not all cat tummies can handle it
