Back by popular demand, we are continuing our "Foster for the Holidays" program! Shelter pets that haven't found homes for the holidays can get a break from the shelter environment by experiencing a home for the holidays. So....how does this program work? We will provide you with everything you need to make their stay comfortable. Beds, food, meds (if needed), toys, wire crate, litterboxes etc.

First step is to fill out a foster application online at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/WCAC/Small%20mammal

Be sure to note that you are interested in fostering for the holidays. The application includes questions questions such as what kind of foster experience you're looking for (dog, cat, kitten, pocket pets, senior, etc.). We will also ask questions about your household, such as if you have other pets, kids, etc.

Our foster coordinator Brooke will reach out to you to set up a time to come by to look at the pets after 12 on 12/23 through 12:30 on 12/24. If you have another dog in the home, you will be asked to bring it with you so the animals can meet at the shelter first before going home.

Sometimes customers who are interested in adopting also like to foster to see if it's a good fit before adopting and we absolutely encourage that! We do ask that those who are interested in holiday fostering must be local. Meaning, unfortunately out of state applicants will not be considered for a holiday foster. If you are from out of state and are interested in adopting though, come on over!

We want to make sure that the foster homes are a good match for our pets - so we can provide you with as much information as possible! 

We are asking if holiday fosters may keep their furry guests in their homes till January 3rd (if possible).

What could be a better holiday gift than to provide a warm, loving environment for an animal in need during this special time of year!
