The Williamson County Animal Center is a public open-intake shelter serving the citizens of Williamson County, Tennessee. The shelter is a county tax-funded agency caring for domestic animals, and enjoys the distinction of being a 2nd place winner in the 2014 ASPCA Rachael Ray Challenge.

For information on our staff, view our staff page. The shelter’s Mobile Adoption Center (MAC) is used for adoption events held away from the shelter.

Indoor Facility

The facility consists of a 10,000 square foot building with the following features:
  • Adoption area
  • Cat and dog visitation rooms
  • Enclosed patio for cats
  • Intake services
  • Isolation and quarantine areas
  • Testing area
  • Veterinary office and surgery suite
  • Volunteer center
  • Office space
  • Drive-through bay area for trucks
  • Laundry room
  • Large storage area.

Outdoor Facility

 Outside are a variety of amenities including:
  • 2 public dog parks
  • Fenced puppy play yard
  • Large dog run for exercise
  • Wooded trail
